Crow Holdings Partners with Texas Trees Foundation for Annual Tree-Planting Event

Crow Holdings, in partnership with the Texas Trees Foundation, recently held its annual tree-planting event as part of the firm’s continued commitment to building sustainable, healthy communities. More than 100 employee volunteers planted 100 new trees and mulched 150 additional trees previously planted this year, strengthening the urban tree canopy and expanding safe, shaded outdoor spaces for residents in West Dallas.

The firm’s Annual Tree Day was part of Crow Holdings’ enduring commitment to environmental stewardship through annual tree-planting events, habitat restoration, and support for urban parks. The newly planted trees at Fish Trap Lake and Kingsbridge Parks in West Dallas included 17 different species that will help mitigate heat, improve air quality, and create a welcoming, shaded environment for the surrounding community.

“This planting will make a lasting impact on the health and wellness of the communities around Fish Trap Lake and Kingsbridge Parks in an area owned by the Dallas Housing Authority,” said Elissa Izmailyan, Chief Strategy & Operations Officer for the Texas Trees Foundation. “We greatly value all of our corporate partners, and the partnership with Crow Holdings is an especially meaningful one, given our shared history.”

Crow Holdings has a long legacy of environmental leadership rooted in the vision of its founder, Trammell Crow, who co-founded the Dallas Parks Foundation (now the Texas Trees Foundation) in 1982 and later served as the foundation’s Chairman. Crow also established the National Tree Trust and was appointed its Chairman by President George H.W. Bush in 1990. In addition, Crow Holdings’ Director of Communications, Adam McGill, has served on the Texas Trees Foundation board of trustees since 2013.

“Our team is proud to once again work side by side with the Texas Trees Foundation to promote urban reforestation,” said Michael Levy, CEO of Crow Holdings. “This annual tradition reflects our values as a company and honors Trammell Crow’s vision of making communities stronger and more sustainable through both hands-on efforts and investment.”
