Mike Lafitte joined Trammell Crow Company in 1997 and after CBRE acquired TCC in 2006, Mr. Lafitte continued to serve for a combined 26 years in numerous executive leadership roles. Mr. Lafitte’s roles included serving as Chief Executive Officer of Trammell Crow Company (wholly owned subsidiary of CBRE), CEO of CBRE’s Real Estate Investment Segment, CEO of CBRE’s Advisory Services Segment, Global Group President, Global Chief Operating Officer, and President of CBRE Americas. Mr. Lafitte served on CBRE’s Executive Committee for over 15 years and was the Executive Sponsor of Black Excellence, a CBRE employee resource group. During the TCC years, Mr. Lafitte held various roles including President of Global Services, Chief Operating Officer of Global Services, Regional Director of the Central region of the U.S. and Dallas Market Leader.
Mr. Lafitte retired from CBRE/TCC in 2023 and currently serves as Managing Partner of Maplewood Ventures LLC, an investment partnership. Mr. Lafitte serves on the board of Ball Ventures (private family office in Idaho), SMU Cox School of Business, Baylor Healthcare Foundation, East-West Ministries, and W.A. Criswell Foundation, and he was previously a member of the Real Estate Roundtable, Dallas Citizens Council, and UT Austin Real Estate Finance and Investment Center along with other non-profit organizations.
Prior to CBRE/TCC, Mr. Lafitte held various development, production, and leadership roles starting with Lincoln Property Company followed by Bear Stearns Real Estate Group and Premisys Real Estate Services (wholly owned operating company of Prudential Life Insurance Company).
Mr. Lafitte is a native of Dallas and is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin (BBA) and Southern Methodist University (MBA). Mr. Lafitte is a member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas and is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Texas. Mr. Lafitte and his wife have a growing family with two daughters, one son and two grandchildren.
