Jim McCaffrey is the Managing Director in the Office Development Group of Crow Holdings Development, where he is responsible for office development activities and sourcing new projects.

Jim joined CHD in 2021 after spending more than nine years with The Howard Hughes Corporation. His tenure there included oversight of office, retail, and mixed-use projects in several markets across the country. Most recently he led the co-development and leasing of 110 North Wacker Drive, the tallest office tower delivered in Chicago in three decades and the largest project ever undertaken by The Howard Hughes Corporation. Jim’s prior experience includes managing all aspects of business for the capitalization, development, design and construction of office and industrial projects as well as working for one of the largest general contractors in Chicagoland.

Jim received a Master of Business Administration from Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina—Chapel Hill. Jim also received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Northwestern University where he was a member of the two-time, Big Ten Champion football team. Jim is a member of the Urban Land Institute and serves on the Board of Directors of Paper for Water, a nonprofit organization for clean water projects.
