Harlan B. Korenvaes is the President and Chief Investment Officer of Korenvaes Capital Management LP, his family investment management company. Harlan is the sole founder of HBK Investments L.P., an investment firm that focuses on market-neutral, absolute return investment strategies. Subsequent to his departure from HBK, Harlan was Senior Managing Director for Reservoir Capital Group. Prior to founding HBK, he was Managing Director for convertible arbitrage sales and trading, risk arbitrage and index arbitrage at Merrill Lynch. Harlan was previously a partner at M.E. Goldstein & Co., an N.Y.S.E. specialist firm. Harlan earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.

He is currently a director of Children’s Medical Center and a member of the Southern Methodist University Investment Committee and is a trustee for Southwestern Medical Foundation. In addition, Harlan is on the executive advisory council for the George W. Bush Presidential Center. Furthermore, he and his wife, Amy serve on the Board of Directors of United Rescue Community (United Hatzalah), Friends of Israeli Flying Aid, and Jewish Federation’s Secure Community Network (SCN).
