Garth Erdossy is a Senior Managing Director for the California Division of Trammell Crow Residential, the multifamily development company of Crow Holdings. Based in Carlsbad, he is responsible for managing all aspects of the business within the region including site selection and acquisition, team building, securing project entitlements, project design, construction oversight, management of all development related activities, and project capitalization.

Garth was President and Managing Partner for GLJ Partners, a Southern California-based multifamily development and construction company, which he co-founded in 2007 with Leonard Wood. Garth and his partners at GLJ merged the company with TCR in July 2012.

Prior to forming GLJ Partners, he partnered with Curt Olson to form Nexus Residential Communities Inc., which developed and constructed attached for-sale and for-rent product. As President and CEO, he oversaw all acquisition, development and construction of projects in Southern California.

Over his career, Garth has capitalized and developed over 13,000 multifamily units worth well over $4.5 billion. Garth developed over 1,000 hotel rooms with Homegate Hospitality and was responsible for the acquisition and rehabilitation of over 1,300 multifamily units in the western United States. He started and ran two of Trammell Crow Residential’s development and construction divisions in the Rocky Mountains and Southern California, which were later sold to BRE, a San-Francisco-based REIT, for approximately $600 million in November 1997.

Garth received a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in Finance and Real Estate from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina. He is Chairman of the Transit Oriented Development Council at the Urban Land Institute and is an active member of the National Multi-Housing Housing Council.
