Vice President, Investor Coverage & Business Development

Position Summary

Crow Holdings Capital seeks an experienced professional to join the Investor Coverage and Business Development team. The Vice President will have the opportunity to support existing and prospective investor relationships by focusing on enhancing client engagement, business development efforts, and managing the pre-marketing, fundraising and closing process for new funds and accounts. Candidate should have prior real estate experience, comfort researching and writing, experience with financial modeling, be detail-oriented, analytical, and a self-starter.

Primary Responsibilites

  • Manage the fundraising process for new vehicles, including diversified value-add fund series, sector-specific vehicles, separate accounts and co-investments
  • Prepare and review marketing materials such as pitchbooks for new business initiatives and work with Acquisition and Business Development teams to build and review vehicle-level underwriting models
  • Responsible for creation and review of Private Placement Memoranda and Limited Partnership Agreements in collaboration with Portfolio Management and Legal
  • Work closely with Legal, Portfolio Management and Compliance to negotiate side letters and terms with prospective investors and execute fund closings
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Management on portfolio analytics and benchmarking, Due Diligence Questionnaires, Requests for Proposals, and various ad-hoc requests to current and potential limited partners
  • Conduct industry research and author/edit white papers and editorial content
  • Help manage CRM system, track investor opportunities and outreach, report progress to senior management, and participate in select investor onsite meetings and calls
  • Work closely with placement agents during fundraise
  • Regularly consult with rest of Investor Coverage team and management with respect to investor observations and market opportunities, as well as with Legal and Compliance regarding potential or actual conflicts of interest or issues raised by investors

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (business or finance preferred), 10+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Knowledge of real estate investments and financial modeling, experience with real estate research and writing
  • Excellent analytical, financial, and quantitative skills, with highest level of attention to detail
  • Familiarity with execution and negotiation of private equity real estate legal documents (PPMs, LPAs, side letters, etc.)
  • Superior oral/written communication skills, prior experience interacting with investors a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point, experience in Salesforce a plus
