Director of Communications & PR

Position Summary

The Director of Communications & PR will work closely with senior management and leaders of the firm’s investment and development teams and investor relations and capital markets professionals. Specific areas of experience include public relations, digital marketing, website content oversight, investor materials, video production, internal communications and events. The position will also be heavily involved in the overall Crow Holdings brand strategy.

Primary Responsibilites

  • Create, drive, and communicate the corporate positioning externally to the marketplace across investors, partners and other external stakeholders as well as internally
  • Create, own, and execute the strategy and implementation of Crow Holdings’ website, investor materials, social media, public relations, media and conference appearances, white papers/thought leadership pieces, print materials, internal communications and events
  • Own relationships with third party agencies (PR, creative, web, branding, and email marketing)
  • Plan and execute annual company volunteer events; manage content on company Intranet
  • Lead small team of dedicated marketing professionals
  • Collaborate closely with Investor Coverage, business unit leadership, legal and compliance

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 7-10+ years of Communications and PR experience including a leadership position at a scaled real estate or other investment management firm
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, build relationships, and influence stakeholders across business units
  • Able to recruit, develop and manage staff, lead projects, and develop short- and long-term department plans
  • Extraordinary writing skills as well as ability to develop a compelling story or pitch; flexibility and creativity to adapt messaging to a broad range of audiences by utilizing innovative approaches that leverage language, data, visuals and video
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented; can thoroughly zero-defect check materials with ease
  • Experience and familiarity with working with a corporate compliance team
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and basic HTML a plus
