The Accounting Application Specialist, in Boca Raton, will facilitate trainings and support accounting software applications in the development companies (TCR, CHI and CHO). This individual will partner with business leaders and subject matter experts across the enterprise to ensure successful user application adoption, knowledge and defining of efficient business processes.

Primary Responsibilites

  • Spearhead critical efforts around user support and application maintenance and training for accounting applications across the enterprise
  • Training
    • Design and implement training programs for accounting systems across the development companies
    • Partner with leadership to provide comprehensive training programs for applications and business processes for accounting
    • Participate in technology projects as a subject matter expert, tester, and trainer
    • Coordinate on-boarding as well as on-going training for employees; track for completion and mastery
    • Participate in the research, design, development, testing, delivery and training of new as well as modified business processes, reports, tools and software
    • Develop and provide training for external partners as necessary for critical systems and processes
  • User support and application maintenance
    • Promote on-going awareness around adoption of critical tools, systems, and best practices
    • Build and maintain relationships to understand business challenges around accounting applications
    • Create testing scripts and oversee end user testing of new systems, procedures or software upgrades
    • Identify group of subject matter experts in the field to assist with communication to the divisions
    • Work with team members, subject matter experts, and/or third-party vendors to resolve questions and issues regarding accounting tools and processes to identify areas for improved efficiency
    • Develop and maintain process change management and policy/procedure documentation
    • Track, schedule and maintain accounting software upgrades
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and innovation

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Sage/ Yardi Accounting experience required
  • Procore and other construction management software experience is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated interest and aptitude for technical training documentation, design and delivery
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and establish relationships across all levels and divisions within the organization
