Position Summary


Crow Holdings Renewables (“CHR”) seeks a Vice President of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Development to help lead the firm’s entry into Stand-Alone BESS development, a combination of Distributed and Utility-Scale BESS. CHR is currently focused on Community Solar and BESS development in markets across the United States, using a combination of greenfield development and industrial development. This role can be located in Crow Holding’s offices in Arlington, Denver, or Southern California but would also consider a hybrid model depending on the candidate.

Primary Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with CHR’s Development team to manage and advance the BESS project development process from site identification to financial close
  • Identify and interface with utilities, C&I customers, landowners, and other prospects to evaluate and secure new project opportunities
  • Conduct high-level environmental and permitting site diligence, select and manage consulting teams for detailed project review and the full permitting process
  • Oversee interconnection process including the selection and management of interconnection consultants
  • Follow changes in the BESS market and evaluate potential value that different offerings can bring to CHR projects

Desired Skills & Experience


  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in the renewable energy industry in the U.S., with direct experience in full life-cycle development of BESS projects
  • Must have experience with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) engagement, equipment procurement and have been through one or more successful project financing processes
