Position Summary

Crow Holdings Development seeks a Development Analyst to work as part of a growing office on the development of speculative and build-to-suit warehouse projects in the Chicago market. Primary responsibilities are to assist the team with underwriting, market research, due diligence review, project accounting, and deal/financial reporting. Additional responsibilities include supporting the team in the acquisition, entitlement, capitalization, and asset management processes for new and existing development opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee project budgets, construction draws, and reviews for each phase of the construction process.
  • Manage office invoicing and work closely with Accounts Payable division to ensure vendors and contractors are paid in a timely manner
  • Provide support for new development pursuits, conduct various market analysis and financial feasibility research, and assist in conducting preliminary due diligence
  • Coordinate with local brokerage and research teams to help gather market information, operating expense data, and sale/lease comparables to generate proformas and offering memorandums for development projects
  • Work closely with equity investors, lenders, internal accounting and capital markets teams, and title companies to assist in securing project funding
  • Participate in development meetings and manage communication between development, consultant, and construction teams

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or other related fields
  • 1-2 years’ experience in real estate finance or development
  • Industrial real estate experience is a plus, but not required
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic in a small office setting (critical element)
  • Highly analytical and research driven
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and concise email communication skills are a must
  • Flexible and adaptable with excellent organization, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Possesses excellent judgment and the ability to make quick, but informed decisions
  • Polished communicator with ability to maintain strong working relationships
