Charles R. Brindell, Jr.
Mr. Brindell has been associated with Trammell Crow affiliated entities for 25 years, serving as a Managing Partner in the Memphis Division of Trammell Crow Company and as a Regional Partner in the firm’s Mid-South and Southeast regions prior to being appointed as President and CEO of Trammell Crow Southeast in 1991. Mr. Brindell’s real estate career also includes three years in commercial mortgage banking as Assistant Vice President at Cameron Brown Company (now First Union Mortgage Corp.) and more than seven years at Southwide Development Company, a Memphis-based real estate management and development firm where he served as Vice President of Finance, President, and Chief Operating Officer. While with Trammell Crow Company, Mr. Brindell was involved in the development, acquisition, and disposition of more than 20 million square feet of office, industrial, and retail real estate. Under his leadership from 1991 to 1996, Trammell Crow Southeast evolved into a real estate service organization responsible for more than 50 million square feet of investment and corporate real estate assets in six Southeastern states.
A native of Wilmington, North Carolina, Mr. Brindell is a 1971 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His professional associations include membership in The Urban Land Institute, National Multi-Housing Council (Director), and Lambda Alpha (International Land Economics.) Mr. Brindell currently serves as a Director of Independent Bank and Trammell Crow Residential Company and is a member of the Board of Visitors of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Advisory Board for the Center for Real Estate Development at the Kennan-Flagler Business School.
